Meet The Team
Catie Hankins
Hey y’all! My name is Catie Elaine Hankins and I’m an actress, producer, wife, mom, nature-lover, and fitness addict. Co-founding Pink Mud with Jenny is a dream come true for me and I couldn’t be happier.
As an actor, I find there are too many moments of waiting for someone to present you with a job, audition you for the job, and then HOPEFULLY hire you for the job. With producing, I can take a much more active approach by filming and acting in stories I believe in, without waiting for anyone's permission. When I met Jenny, we aligned on this experience and started to create our own work. Now, we have the pleasure of helping other people’s stories become realized as well.
My favorite part about storytelling is the mirror it holds up to each and every viewer involved. We are forced to make decisions on how we morally feel towards certain circumstances and relationships which we would not typically be exposed to in real life. Stories are the catalyst for new ways of thinking, tough conversations, and overall personal growth - I love that.
I’m excited to dive into each and every portion of the filmmaking process with Pink Mud Productions. Thank you for joining us on this adventure.
Jenny De La Fuente
¡Hola amigos! I'm Jenny De La Fuente, an actor (Amazon Prime/SXSW), film producer, and writer. Alongside my dear friend Catie Hankins, I co-founded Pink Mud Productions.
At Pink Mud, my goal is to ensure our stories resonate and drive positive change within society. I aspire to create films that break free from traditional hero-versus-villain tales, delving into the intricacies of human nature and uncover the depths that shape us. My aim is to evoke empathy, compassion, and unity, hoping to sparkle conversations along the way.
My personal journey into filmmaking began in childhood. Writing, acting, and filming homemade movies with friends at my family's ranch in Mexico. Professionally, it began at The University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated as a Spotlight Student in the Theatre and Dance class of 2016. Now, with extensive training in the Meisner Acting Technique under Laurel Vouvray, I have a deep understanding of human behavior and a passion for finding the truth in any story, no matter the shape or form it may take—a skill that I eagerly bring to Pink Mud when scouting for scripts to produce, or in my acting when I look for characters to portray.
Thank you so much for your supporting this silly little big dream of mine. I look forward to meeting you along the way!
